"Not to be negative, but..." is a sculpture composed of three rocks stacked vertically. The larger bottom stone features green copper oxidation, while the two upper stones show steel oxidation. Extending from beneath this stone structure is a pair of legs with ankles crossed in a physically relaxed posture. The piece contrasts the visual and literal weight of the rocks with the casual pose of the legs to address the dichotomy of the social question "how are you?". The work materializes the societal expectation to respond politely or pretend everything is fine, concealing the reality of a burden that, although physically obvious to the observer, is actively ignored.
