The installation confronts the viewer with their own reflection, physically divided by a strict binary: “Yes” and “No.” A marker invites the public to inscribe their answer directly onto the glass, collapsing the distance between the judge and the judged. What appears as a deceptively simple question triggers an immediate friction between self-perception and external validation, turning the mirror surface into a site of public confession.
In 2026, the project expanded its scope beyond the gallery space with the launch of www.wouldyoudateyourself.org. This digital extension transforms the piece into a living archive, broadening the inquiry from a local intervention into a global survey on how we measure worth in the age of the self-image.
